The Value of Sustainable Properties for the Development of the Circular Economy

Doing more and better while consuming fewer raw materials, avoiding waste and using as much renewable energy and secondary and derived raw materials as possible: all companies are called upon to build regenerative production models.
Through our work, we are committed to designing a new circular paradigm for construction.

«If resources continue to be exploited at today's pace, by 2050 we will need three planets to meet our needs.» Through the Green Deal and the Action Plan for a new Circular Economy, the European Commission has defined principles and methods to show how circularity and sustainability must be integrated into every phase of the value chain, from design to production and all the way to the consumer.

Within the European Commission's Action Plan seven key areas of intervention have been identified, as essential to achieving a circular economy capable of regenerating materials and contributing to the fight against the climate crisis.

Among these is the Building and Construction sector, considered responsible for 50% of extracted raw materials and 35% of waste produced. The circular economy in construction includes several applications: reuse of materials, recycling, and sharing practices, also to be pursued through the design of adaptable and flexible spaces.

To facilitate the selection of products containing derived materials and secondary raw materials, we rely on Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), which describe the environmental impact of a specific product in a transparent, objective and comparable way and are issued following a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that analyses production processes.

In this way, the circular economy becomes integrated into our operating model and our corporate social responsibility.

«Doing more and better by using less material and more renewable energy, while limiting the environmental, social and economic impact of our projects: this is what we do. This is what we believe in.»
