Building value in logistics: AI, well-being, and sustainability for the logistics of tomorrow

The evolution of logistics requires a radical rethinking of space design. Today, ESG criteria and social sustainability are no longer optional; they determine the real value of logistics assets. Safety, quality rest areas, services for truck drivers, and urban decorum are emerging as strategic drivers for creating efficient, sustainable, and high-performing infrastructure. This conference addresses these challenges with a concrete and innovative approach, exploring how logistics assets are transformed when people are placed at the center of projects. Developers and logistics operators can gain significant advantages from integrated design that combines functionality, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility.
Starting from a unique Italian case history compliant with European SSTPA standards, and from the findings of SDA Bocconi research in collaboration with KONTRACTOR, the conference will present empirical results and operational models that can be applied at both national and European level: real solutions to improve quality of life and people’s wellbeing while also increasing the value of logistics assets.
